Handyman / Maintenance Technician (1099 Contractor)

Real Property Management East San Gabriel Valley and Ventura County is seeking a reliable Handyman or Maintenance Technician to assist with ongoing residential upkeep. This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering consistent work assignments across the region.

Overview

This role involves performing general residential repairs and maintenance as a contractor. The position offers a steady workload with weekly payment and the potential for top performers to advance to a full-time, salaried role with benefits.

Compensation

• Full day rate: $250
• Half day rate: $125
• Payment issued weekly
• Steady assignments available for top performers

Responsibilities

• Perform general residential repairs
• Address minor plumbing issues (toilet repairs, faucet fixes, leak stoppage)
• Handle minor electrical tasks (outlet, switch, and light fixture work)
• Conduct door and lock repairs
• Complete drywall patching and paint touch-ups
• Apply caulking and sealing
• Finish punch-list and property turnover tasks

Requirements

• Must possess a personal vehicle
• Must supply own basic tool set
• Ability to work autonomously
• Substantial experience in handyman services, maintenance, or construction is highly desired
• Must be willing to travel between Pasadena and Simi Valley
• This is a 1099 contractor position, not a W-2 employee role

• Document work with before and after photographs and supply concise notes

Advancement Potential
