Security Officer - Armed & Unarmed Positions

Overview

Join Specialized Protective Services (SPS), a nationally accredited security and investigations company. We are seeking qualified Security Officers for armed and unarmed positions. Compensation varies by role and location, with rates highlighted below.

Requirements

• Possess reliable transportation.
• Maintain open availability for work, including weekends.
• Hold a current security permit or license.
• Have a valid driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
• For armed roles: possess a current weapon or CCW permit.
• Have a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• Be able to pass random drug tests.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Ability to speak a second language is beneficial.
• Maintain a good driving record (for patrol/supervision; no DUIs).
• Exhibit a positive personality and ability to collaborate.
• Be willing to learn new techniques and technologies.
• If applicable, provide Military Form (DD214).

Compensation

Starting Rates (Varies by location):

• $18.00 to $18.50 per hour (Unarmed)
• $19.00 to $19.50 per hour (Armed)
• $20.00 to $20.50 per hour (Armed Supervisor)

San Fernando Valley Specific Rate:

• $20.00 to $21.00 per hour (Armed)
