Overview

Regular Ass Candles (www.regularcandles.com) is a small-batch candle maker with a distinctive character. We are seeking a charismatic and sales-oriented individual to serve as the public representative of our brand at weekend pop-up markets and special events. This role involves full event logistics, from setup to sales, and requires a dynamic person who understands our brand and is driven to achieve sales.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Brand Ambassador: Proactively interact with customers, communicate our brand story, and cultivate a friendly booth environment.
  • Manage Full Event Logistics:
    1. Collect products, the 10x10 canopy tent, and all booth supplies from a designated central point.
    2. Drive to the event location and transport all materials to the assigned booth space.
    3. Assemble the entire booth, including the pop-up tent, tables, displays, and merchandise.
    4. Operate the booth for the full duration of the event (typically 8-9 hours total).
    5. Completely dismantle the booth, pack all materials, and return them.
  • Handle Sales Transactions: Process all sales (cash and card) using our Shopify card reader connected to your personal smartphone.

  • A Born Salesperson who is outgoing, takes initiative, and is motivated by earning sales commission.
  • Exceptionally Dependable and Punctual. This is an absolute requirement as you will be the sole event manager.
  • Understands Our Brand Personality and is enthusiastic about selling a product with an inclusive, bold, and witty character.
  • A Resourceful Problem-Solver who can manage the unpredictable nature of a pop-up event.
  • A Fast Learner who can rapidly familiarize themselves with our product range and point-of-sale system.
  • Experience in retail, sales, or as a brand ambassador is a significant advantage.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable personal vehicle (sufficiently spacious to carry a folding table and multiple storage bins).
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying bins weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain standing for prolonged periods (8-9 hours).
  • Must have availability for occasional weekends (Saturdays and/or Sundays).
  • Must own a functional smartphone (iPhone or Android) to pair with our card reader.
  • Must be fluent in English.
