Overview
APLA Health seeks an Enrollment Specialist I to assist clients with enrollment in health coverage programs (Covered CA, Medi-Cal, Medicare, MHLA) and public benefits. This is a meaningful role within a nonprofit FQHC dedicated to health equity for the LGBT community, people living with or impacted by HIV, and other underserved populations. Spanish fluency is required for this position.

Requirements
- High school diploma and one year of benefits enrollment experience.
- Must be certified as a Medi-Cal Enroller, Covered CA Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC), and ADAP/OA HIPP/PrEP-AP Enroller (or obtain within six months of hire).
- Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency is required.
- Knowledge of public benefits programs, qualified health plans, and HIV-related issues.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, assess client needs, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency with eClinicalWorks electronic health records and data entry.
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and have access to a vehicle.
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster, or a valid exemption, is required.
