Accounts Receivable Specialist

An immediate opportunity is available for an Accounts Receivable Specialist with a long-standing distributor of Mediterranean, Kosher, and specialty foods, located in Vernon, CA.

Overview

This role involves managing customer accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, and handling daily financial transactions. The position offers a pay rate of $23 per hour with a shift schedule of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Examine and settle matters concerning chargebacks, partial payments, and unpaid invoices.
• Record daily bank deposits.
• Oversee customer accounts to identify missed payments, late payments, and other discrepancies.
• Handle payment transactions and allocate them to the appropriate customer accounts.
• Contest unauthorized deductions through chargeback disputes.
• Rectify account discrepancies stemming from shipping errors, incorrect billing, refunds, sales mistakes, and credit issuances.
• Generate credit memos for necessary account adjustments.
• Undertake various accounting and administrative tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in accounts receivable.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication abilities, with a talent for establishing and preserving positive customer relationships.
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and capable of proposing enhancements to invoicing and accounts receivable procedures.
• Adaptable and able to swiftly acclimate to new systems and the evolving demands of an expanding company.
